Seeing the world through a fisheye lens shifts our perception and our
perspective. The world changes. Objects which are very near dominate and
transform into strange curves. Objects which used to demand our attention
diminish as they distance themselves from us. Objects far away are diminuative, almost non-existant. All the while geometric forms bend and create new patterns before our eyes. Old patterns morph into new ways of seeing. A fitting metaphor
of the changes that take place inside us with our new view of our world.
These images have been taken over a 20+ year period using Nikon Cameras and a Sigma 8mm f4 lens in the early years then a Nikon 8mm f2.8 lens since about 2006. In 2009 the camera became a digital full frame D700.
